Jerry Greenlaw

Jerry grew up in Warwick Valley, NY running cross country and track through high school. He continued running at SUNY Cortland where he contributed to an NCAA DIII championship in cross country (’08). Upon graduation, he moved to the greater DC area to teach elementary school physical education and has been consistently one of the top local runners in the Cherry Blossom 10 miler for a decade (2010-2019).

​Jerry was one of the top finishers at the 2016 Marine Corps Marathon (6th overall) and continues to focus on the 26.2 mile distance where he has also run 2:31:25 (California International ’14), 2:26:50 (Grandma’s ’15), 2:27:09 (Houston ’16), 2:30:36 (Ottawa ’17), 2:27:37(Houston ’18), 2:30:54 (Chicago ’19), 2:27:12 (Houston ’20), and 2:28:16 (Lake Artemesia ’21). As a GRC veteran and CLMC elder, Jerry has made it a goal and mission to help grow and assist the marathoning team.
